Technology in the Classroom [Infographic]

I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry after reading and absorbing the statistics in this infographic via  Online Colleges and Universities

Here are my most startling observations:

  • Whiteboards in 28% of Classrooms, Internet Access in only 14%!!!!
  • Only 64% of Schools have Internet Access!!!!
  • Average Number of Students to Computers–24 to 1!!!!
  • Teacher Using the Computer as a Learning Aid
  • Finally, 98% of 7th Graders could not discern valid websites from hoax sites!!!!

      Thanks! I’m using Yahoo but I wouldn’t recommend them as they have not kept up as well as they should have. For instance, I cannot upgrade yet to WordPress 3.2 because they are using an older version of MySQL–promising to update but its been several months. I basically had to do a lot of tweaking to get it to load more quickly but I’m sure there are many hosts out there that would fit your needs. Good Luck

      Unfortunately it is not a free template but it is really versatile–it is called Thesis and you can get more information at http://diythemes.com/ It has a free trial and you can do almost anything with it.
